Our mission is to reach women currently in the sex industry in the Puget Sound area with the simple message that they are loved.

Once a month, Charisma visits puget sound strip clubs employing
hundreds of women and gives out gift bags filled with cosmetics and jewelry
and the simple message that the women working in these clubs are the
LOVED.

Each woman who contacts Charisma receives an individualized care
package with books and resources intended to bring inspiration and to
encourage her.

Passionate, trained volunteers follow up with each woman who contacts
Charisma and offer lay counseling and life coaching for those who desire it.
Support is also offered in the form of mentoring, accountability, and referrals.

More women are employed by the sex industry than any other time in history.

There are more strip clubs in the United States than any other nation in the world.

 Between 66-90% of women in the sex industry were sexually abused as children.

The shame and secrecy surrounding sexual abuse make it difficult to get accurate data regarding incidents what kind of these incidents among women in the sex industry.

Compared to the general population, women in the sex industry experience higher rates of Substance Abuse Issues, Rape and Violent Assault, Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Domestic Violence, Depression, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
